How large an event can you hold?

The Al Reem Ballroom seats 620 for a banquet, 900 theatre style and 480 classroom, and divides into three soundproofed sections. The Yas Suite takes 180 theatre or 120 for dinner, and there are six breakout rooms holding 30 to 80 each. The Marina Terrace handles 250 for an outdoor reception between October and April.

What is your day delegate rate?

AED 320 per person for a full day and AED 260 for a half day, with a minimum of 20 delegates. That covers the meeting room, screen and projector, wifi, two coffee breaks, a buffet lunch and stationery. Residential rates including a bedroom start at AED 780 per delegate.

Is there a minimum spend on the ballroom?

Yes. The Al Reem Ballroom carries a food and beverage minimum of AED 25,000 on Sunday to Thursday and AED 45,000 on Friday and Saturday. The Yas Suite minimum is AED 8,000. Room hire is waived entirely once the minimum is met, otherwise the ballroom is AED 18,000 per day.

Can I see the space before committing?

Site inspections run seven days a week and take about an hour with a member of the events team. We show you the ballroom dressed if there is a set-up in place, the breakouts, a bedroom and the terrace. Book one through this chat and we will confirm a time within the working day.

Do you hold bedroom blocks for conference groups?

Blocks of ten rooms or more get a negotiated group rate below public pricing, and we give one complimentary room for every 25 booked. Blocks are held on a provisional basis for 21 days, and we ask for a rooming list 30 days before arrival. We have 302 rooms, so large residential conferences fit under one roof.

What about weddings and social events?

Wedding packages start at AED 550 per person and include a five-course set menu or buffet, staging, dance floor, standard décor and a bridal suite. Separate entrances and full female-service staffing for segregated events can be arranged with notice. Menu tastings for confirmed bookings are complimentary for four guests.

Can you handle audiovisual and staging?

Our in-house production partner covers LED walls, line-array sound, lighting and simultaneous interpretation booths. A standard conference set with screen, projector, lectern, two microphones and a technician is AED 4,500 per day. External AV suppliers are permitted with a AED 2,000 corkage and proof of insurance.

How do deposits and payment work?

Twenty-five percent is due on signing the contract, a further fifty percent at 60 days before the event and the balance 14 days ahead. Corporate accounts with an approved credit application can settle on 30-day terms. All rates are subject to 10 percent service charge, 6 percent tourism fee and 5 percent VAT.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 90 days out and you lose only the deposit. Between 90 and 30 days, 50 percent of the contracted value is payable, and inside 30 days the full contracted value applies. Postponing to a date within twelve months is treated more leniently and is usually handled by moving the deposit across.
