Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our services.
- What areas of law do you handle?
- Commercial and corporate work including company formation, shareholder and founder agreements and commercial contracts; employment and labour disputes on both the employer and employee side; real estate and tenancy matters; civil litigation and debt recovery; and family law for expatriate residents.
- How does the first consultation work?
- The initial consultation is 30 minutes for AED 500, credited against your fees if you go on to engage us. Before the call I collect a short summary of the matter, the names of the parties, the key dates and what documents you hold — so the lawyer starts prepared rather than asking basics.
- What should I tell the assistant when I get in touch?
- The type of matter, who the other party is, the important dates or deadlines, roughly what is at stake, and which documents you already have. Please do not paste passport numbers, Emirates ID numbers or bank details into the chat — bring those to the consultation instead.
- How do you charge?
- Wherever the scope can be defined we quote a fixed fee: contract review from AED 1,500, company formation from AED 6,000. Otherwise we work hourly at AED 900 to AED 1,600 depending on seniority. Litigation is quoted in stages, and every engagement letter sets out the fee before we start work.
- Do you appear in the Dubai courts?
- Yes. Our UAE-licensed advocates appear before the Dubai Courts at all levels and before the DIFC Courts. We also act in DIAC arbitration, before the Rental Disputes Centre and in Ministry of Human Resources labour proceedings.
- Is what I tell the assistant confidential?
- The chat is a preliminary intake, not legal advice, and it does not by itself create a lawyer-client relationship or attract legal privilege. Your intake is seen only by our intake team. Full privilege and confidentiality begin once a signed engagement letter is in place.
- Do you work with clients who do not speak Arabic?
- Most of our clients do not. We work in English, Arabic and French, and all correspondence and advice can be in English. Where a court filing must be in Arabic, we arrange certified legal translation and explain the filing to you in your own language before it goes in.
- How quickly will someone come back to me?
- Every intake is reviewed the same working day and you will hear from a lawyer within one business day. If you are facing an imminent deadline, a travel ban or an urgent injunction, say so in the chat and it will be escalated to a partner immediately.
- Where are your offices and what are your hours?
- We are in the Gate District at DIFC, Dubai, open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Consultations can also be held by video for clients elsewhere in the UAE or abroad, and we visit clients on site for larger corporate matters.
